Free Community Workshop:
Home For The Holidays? Support & Self Care for Adult Children from Difficult Families
.

Location: The Process Therapy Institute, 1760 the Alameda, Suite 100 San José, CA 95126.

Many adults are now finding themselves heading back into an all too familiar situation: spending time with family members who don’t really “see them,” who fail to respect their boundaries, are often critical or unkind, have a pattern of belittling or infantilizing, or who otherwise behave in ways antithetical to their own values. Building and maintaining healthy family systems can be challenging at best. In this lecture, I will guide you away from a good-guy/bad-guy perspective and invite you to begin exploring new ways of being with family.

Workshops are great for:

Workshops are great for getting a feel for what it might be like for us to work together. It’s also a great opportunity to get some more hands-on experience with a particular subject area, and in a deeper or more dynamic way than we might be able to experience together in individual therapy, or in our family, group, or couples sessions.

Workshops aren’t a good fit for:

Workshops aren’t a good fit for those who aren’t ready to try something new, or for those who feel like they might need the added privacy and personal space of individual sessions, or sessions with just their partner(s) or other loved ones present.
